This is the kind of restaurant you could happily spend a whole evening in, and if you spread the fare out over the course of a night, who knows how much you could put away.
Cheshire Life, July 2011
We retreated inside to the downstairs dining room to enjoy a fantastic cavalcade of tip-top tasting plates. These were, quite simply, the best olives we had ever tasted and exemplified the exceptional quality of ingredients. We reckoned we would not have enjoyed better on Barcelona's Ramblas
Trip advisor, February 2011
Lunya without a shadow of a doubt is the best restaurant in the city, and definitely one of the best in the UK.

Excellent establishment serving real Spanish/Catalan food in a wonderful and relaxed venue. The Catalan spare ribs are to die for and the Squid rings fried in Beer batter are excellent - this is proper sized Squid here as well! Excellent service and a sense of being genuinely cared for as a diner. Highly Recommended.
Best restaurant experience in town
It was a great night with a great bottle of wine and absolutely fantastic food will definately return.

Liverpool's much feted Catalan eatery

The tremendous Catalonian restaurant Lunya (www.lunya.co.uk). Anyone who likes their tapas and Riojas will love this fabulous place in a converted 18th century warehouse.
Cheshire Life, September 2010
"Peter Kinsella's exciting new venture is quite simply the city's best Spanish eatery [...] the exciting menu offers a range of authentic tapas and Iberian classics made from a combination of top-notch Spanish ingredients and the very best of local produce."

Great restaurant and service, my family and friends practically live here !
Yelp, October 2010
The food here is typical Catalan cuisine and is insanely fresh as well as mouth-wateringly good, this place would make a really nice spot for a nice group lunch. The atmosphere is top class here and truly is something to be savoured as is the whole dining experience. The staff are top class and waiting times are minimal all of which adds up to a professional service which is not to be sniffed at. This establishment is a real treat and somewhere that the people of Liverpool should savour and truly enjoy to the maximum.
Seven Streets, September 2010
"You certainly won't find a harder working team than owner Peter Kinsella and Co. The service is always friendly."
Hotline (Virgin trains magazine), September 2010
"This is not a Spanish restaurant! Lunya is a love letter to the fiercely independent province of Catalonia [...] Lunya has managed to recreate the informal, buzzy vibe of the best Catalonian restaurants, while putting a distinctive Scouse spin on its cuisine."
Gay Times, September 2010
"Delicatessens and restaurants may be common bedfellows, but rarely are they fused with the passion of Liverpool's Lunya."
Liverpool Confidential, June 2010
"If Lunya maintains these standards, Scousers will long be paying homage to Catalonia."
Cheese and Biscuits (blog), June 2010
"There is much to admire in Lunya, and admire it I did... A small bowl of gulas, apparently Alaskan Pollack formed into elver-like shapes and with a punchy garlic, oil and chilli dressing, were excellent. So too was a short stack of Morcilla de Burgos, containing just enough of the black pudding to hold the rice together but not too much to be cloying. These two dishes alone demonstrate that someone in the kitchen at Lunya can cook, as they were both correctly seasoned and nicely balanced in terms of texture and flavour....a plate of the famous Joselito Iberico ham tasted just as wonderful as this most wonderful of products always does...The pickled figs on top were brilliant"
Your Move, June 2010
"The restaurant doesn't force the issue of its Catalan theme, rather letting the quality of its food reflect the region."
The Liverpool Lifestyle Magazine, June 2010
"Liverpool has been waiting for Lunya for some time - we're lucky to have great delis and top notch eateries and Lunya has placed itself in the top rung of that list with ease. Viva Espana!"
Gossip, June 2010
"The service was wonderful [...] if you're ever going to do it Med style, go to Lunya."
Liverpool Echo, April 2010
"Lunya really does provide an authentic feel of Spain and with the city's over-reliance on soulless ‘vertical drinking' establishments around Concert Square, this is exactly the sort of varied nightspot which befits a recently celebrated Capital of Culture city."
